Siracusa International Tango Festival 2027

Refund & Cancellation Policy

Last updated: 23 September 2026

1. Core Rule

Purchased passes are normally non-refundable.

This policy sets out the specific exceptions and the situations in which reimbursement may apply.

2. Participant Cancellation

2.1. If you decide not to attend the Festival after purchasing a pass, the pass is non-refundable.

2.2. This includes:

Change of mind

Inability to attend for personal reasons

Travel or scheduling conflicts

2.3. No refund is due in these cases, subject to mandatory applicable law.

3. No-Show

If you do not attend the Festival or specific events, no refund is due for unused access, subject to mandatory applicable law.

4. Name Changes

No change of name is permitted on a purchased pass. You cannot transfer your pass to another person.

5. Transfer and Resale

Passes are personal, named, and non-transferable. Transfer or resale of a pass to another participant is not permitted and does not entitle the transferee to access.

6. Festival Definitive Cancellation

6.1. If the Festival is definitively cancelled by the Organizer, the amount you paid for the cancelled festival/pass/event will be reimbursed.

6.2. Reimbursement will be made according to the final policy and applicable law.

6.3. No additional compensation is provided by the Organizer beyond the applicable reimbursement, except where otherwise required by mandatory law.

7. Festival Postponement

7.1. If the Festival is postponed, your pass remains valid for the rescheduled dates.

7.2. If you cannot attend the rescheduled dates, mandatory rights applicable to your situation are preserved.

7.3. No automatic refund is provided beyond what is required by applicable law.

8. Program Changes

8.1. The Organizer may make reasonable organizational and program changes, including changes to artists, musicians, TDJs, schedule, times, venues, individual activities, and program structure.

8.2. Reasonable program changes do not automatically create a right to a refund, subject always to mandatory applicable law.

9. Upgrade Transactions

9.1. If you upgrade from a Milongas Full Pass to The Legend Full Experience, the historical amount paid for the Milongas Full Pass is credited toward the €290 Full Experience value.

9.2. The upgrade credit is not a refund. It is a value credit applied to the Full Experience purchase.

9.3. Upgrade credit amounts:

€150 purchase → €140 cash upgrade

€170 purchase → €120 cash upgrade

€190 purchase → €100 cash upgrade

9.4. The membership fee is excluded from upgrade credit.

10. Membership Fee

10.1. The €10 association membership fee is charged with your first purchase if you do not already hold a valid membership.

10.2. Once the Siracusa Sport Academy ASD — ACSI/FAITANGO membership has been effectively activated, the €10 membership fee is non-refundable, without prejudice to any mandatory rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

11. Refund Processing

11.1. Where a refund is due under this policy or applicable law, the refund will be processed to the original payment method where technically available and appropriate.

12. Consumer Withdrawal Right

Because SITF 2027 passes provide access to leisure/event activities scheduled for specific dates (22–25 July 2027), the ordinary 14-day right of withdrawal applicable to many distance contracts does not apply where the statutory exception for leisure services provided on a specific date or during a specific period applies.

This does not affect any mandatory rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

13. Mandatory Rights

Nothing in this Refund & Cancellation Policy excludes or limits any mandatory rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
